أخبرنا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا النُّعْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ ، قَالَ :" إِذَا كَانَ

الْوَرَثَةُ مَحَاوِيجَ، فَلَا أَرَى بَأْسًا أَنْ يُرَدَّ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ الثُّلُثِ "، قَالَ يَحْيَى : فَذَكَرْتُ ذَلِكَ لِلْأَوْزَاعِيِّ فَأَعْجَبَهُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Makhul that he said: "If the heirs are in need, I see no harm in returning to them some of the one-third bequest." Yahya said: "I mentioned this to al-Awza'i and he found it agreeable."
