حَدَّثَنَا قَبِيصَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاق : " أَنَّ غُلَامًا مِنْهُمْ حِينَ ثُغِرَ يُقَالُ لَهُ مَرْثَدٌ :أَوْصَى

لِظِئْرٍ لَهُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْحِيرَةِ بِأَرْبَعِينَ دِرْهَمًا، فأجازه شريح ، وَقَالَ : مَنْ أَصَابَ الْحَقَّ، أَجَزْنَاهُ "

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Ishaq that a boy from them, at the time he first lost his milk teeth, known as Marthad, bequeathed forty dirhams to his wet-nurse from the people of al-Hira. Shurayh approved it and said: "Whoever gets the ruling right, we approve it."
