Arabic Text
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، وَأَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَب
ْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ :" لَا يَنْتَهِبُ نُهْبَةً ذَاتَ شَرَفٍ يَرْفَعُ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ فِيهَا أَبْصَارَهُمْ وَهُوَ حِينَ يَنْتَهِبُهَا مُؤْمِنٌ "

English Translation
It was narrated from Shaddad ibn Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Indeed Allah has prescribed excellence in all things. So when you kill, kill well, and when you slaughter, slaughter well. Let one of you sharpen his blade and give ease to his slaughtered animal.'
