English Translation

Abu al-Nadr narrated to us, 'Abd al-Hamid narrated to us, Shahr said: Ibn 'Abbas رضي الله عنهما said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Every prophet had a sanctuary (haram), and my sanctuary is Madinah. O Allah, I declare it sacred by Your sanctity. Its thorny bushes are not to be cut, its game is not to be hunted, and its lost property is not to be picked up except by one who announces it.'
