English Translation
Yahya ibn Adam narrated to us, Hasan narrated to us, from his father, from Salamah ibn Kuhayl, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr, from Ibn 'Abbas رضي الله عنهما who said: 'Umar came and said: 'Peace be upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Peace be upon Abu Bakr.' Then he said: 'O Messenger of Allah, may I not enter the garden whose rivers you have dug, whose fruits you have planted, and whose trees you have established?' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Yes, and by my Lord, let him enter.' 'Umar entered upon the Prophet ﷺ and gave him the pledge of allegiance.
