حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَب

َّاسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تَوَضَّأَ لِلصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ لَهُ بَعْضُ نِسَائِهِ اجْلِسْ فَإِنَّ الْقِدْرَ قَدْ نَضِجَتْ فَنَاوَلَتْهُ كَتِفًا فَأَكَلَ ثُمَّ مَسَحَ يَدَهُ فَصَلَّى وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ

English Translation

'Abdullah ibn al-Walid narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Simak ibn Harb, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas رضي الله عنهما that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ performed wudu for prayer and was given a towel, but he did not use it. He began wiping the water off with his hands.
