حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ حَدَّثَنَا قَتَادَةُ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَ
نَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُرِيدَ عَلَى بِنْتِ حَمْزَةَ فَقَالَ إِنَّهَا ابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنْ الرَّضَاعَةِ وَإِنَّهَا لَا تَحِلُّ لِي وَيَحْرُمُ مِنْ الرَّضَاعَةِ مَا يَحْرُمُ مِنْ الرَّحِمِ

English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Hammam narrated to us, Qatadah narrated to us, from Jabir ibn Zayd, from Ibn 'Abbas رضي الله عنهما that the Prophet ﷺ was offered the daughter of Hamzah in marriage, but he said: 'She is not lawful to me. She is the daughter of my brother through breastfeeding (radha'ah). What is forbidden through lineage is also forbidden through breastfeeding.'
