حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ امْرَأَةً مِنْ خَثْعَمَ سَأَلَتْ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ وَالْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبَّاسٍ رَدِيفُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّ
هُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ فَرِيضَةَ اللَّهِ فِي الْحَجِّ عَلَى عِبَادِهِ أَدْرَكَتْ أَبِي شَيْخًا كَبِيرًا لَا يَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ يَسْتَمْسِكَ عَلَى الرَّاحِلَةِ أَفَأَحُجُّ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ حُجِّي عَنْ أَبِيكِ

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Mus'ab narrated to us, al-Awza'i narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, from Ibn 'Abbas رضي الله عنهما that a woman from Khath'am asked the Prophet ﷺ during the Farewell Hajj. She said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the obligation of Hajj from Allah has come upon my father while he is an old man who cannot sit firmly on a mount. Shall I perform Hajj on his behalf?' He said: 'Yes.' And that was during the Farewell Hajj.
