حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُصْعَبٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ سَعْدَ بْنَ عُبَادَةَ اس
ْتَفْتَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي نَذْرٍ كَانَ عَلَى أُمِّهِ تُوُفِّيَتْ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَقْضِيَهُ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اقْضِ عَنْهَا

English Translation
Muhammad ibn Mus'ab narrated to us, al-Awza'i narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from 'Ubaydullah ibn 'Abdullah, from Ibn 'Abbas رضي الله عنهما that Sa'd ibn 'Ubadah asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ for a ruling. He said: 'My mother died and she had an unfulfilled vow.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Fulfill it on her behalf.'
