Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ أَنْبَأَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ وَرَوْحٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَا
لَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ أَنَّ أَبَا الشَّعْثَاءِ أخْبَرَهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ يَخْطُبُ يَقُولُ مَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ إِزَارًا وَوَجَدَ سَرَاوِيلَ فَلْيَلْبَسْهَا وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ نَعْلَيْنِ وَوَجَدَ خُفَّيْنِ فَلْيَلْبَسْهُمَا

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Abu al-Sha'tha' — that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying while delivering a khutbah: 'Whoever cannot find an izar [waist-wrap] but finds trousers [sara'il], let him wear them; and whoever cannot find sandals but finds leather socks [khuff], let him wear them.' [This ruling relates to the ihram garments — permitting trousers and socks when the prescribed garments are unavailable.]
