حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ وَابْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ ر
َسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُرِيدَ عَلَى ابْنَةِ حَمْزَةَ أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَهَا فَقَالَ إِنَّهَا ابْنَةُ أَخِي مِنْ الرَّضَاعَةِ فَإِنَّهُ يَحْرُمُ مِنْ الرَّضَاعِ مَا يَحْرُمُ مِنْ النَّسَبِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Jabir ibn Zayd — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was proposed [as a marriage partner] for the daughter of Hamzah (رضي الله عنه), but he said: 'She is the daughter of my foster brother [al-Zubayr ibn 'Abd al-Muttalib had nursed]. What is forbidden by reason of lineage is likewise forbidden by reason of nursing [rada'ah].'
