English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sa'id ibn Jubayr — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out on the day of Adha — or the day of Fitr (the narrator said he believed it was the day of Fitr) — and prayed two rak'ahs, praying nothing before or after them. He then went to the women with Bilal (رضي الله عنه) and commanded them to give in charity. The women began throwing their earrings [khurs] and beaded necklaces [sikhab] [into Bilal's garment]. Bahz had no doubt it was the day of Fitr, and his version reads 'sikhab.'
