English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Salih, freed slave of al-Taw'amah — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ combined Dhuhr and 'Asr, and [also] Maghrib and 'Isha' — with no [excuse of] rain or travel. They asked: 'O Abu 'Abbas, what did he intend by that?' He said: 'He wished to make things easy for his ummah.'
