حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ سِمَاكٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ جَالِسًا فِي ظِلِّ حُجْرَتِهِ قَالَ يَحْيَى قَدْ كَادَ يَقْلِصُ عَنْهُ فَقَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ يَجِيئُكُمْ رَجُلٌ يَنْظُرُ إِلَيْكُمْ بِعَ
يْنِ شَيْطَانٍ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمُوهُ فَلَا تُكَلِّمُوهُ فَجَاءَ رَجُلٌ أَزْرَقُ فَلَمَّا رَآهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَعَاهُ فَقَالَ عَلَامَ تَشْتُمُنِي أَنْتَ وَأَصْحَابُكَ قَالَ كَمَا أَنْتَ حَتَّى آتِيَكَ بِهِمْ قَالَ فَذَهَبَ فَجَاءَ بِهِمْ فَجَعَلُوا يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللَّهِ مَا قَالُوا وَمَا فَعَلُوا وَأَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ { يَوْمَ يَبْعَثُهُمْ اللَّهُ جَمِيعًا فَيَحْلِفُونَ لَهُ كَمَا يَحْلِفُونَ لَكُمْ } إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sa'id ibn Jubayr — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was sitting in the shade of his chamber — [Yahya noted: the shade had almost receded from him] — when he said to his Companions: 'A man will come to you looking at you with the eye of a devil — when you see him, do not speak to him.' A blue-eyed man came. When the Prophet ﷺ saw him, he called him and said: 'Why do you and your companions revile me?' He said: 'Wait — let me bring them to you.' He went and brought them, and they began swearing by Allah that they had not said or done [anything]. Then Allah (عز وجل) revealed: 'On the Day He will resurrect them all, and they will swear to Him as they swear to you [58:18]' — to the end of the verse.
