English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) and Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sa'id ibn Jubayr — that they both bore witness that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade [making nabidh in] al-dubba' [dried gourd containers], al-hantam [green clay jugs], al-muzaffat [pitch-coated vessels], and al-naqir [hollowed palm-trunk containers]. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited: 'Whatever the Messenger gives you, take it; and whatever he forbids you from, refrain from it [59:7].'
