حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ

سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْرُ ثِيَابِكُمْ الْبَيَاضُ فَالْبَسُوهَا أَحْيَاءً وَكَفِّنُوا فِيهَا مَوْتَاكُمْ وَخَيْرُ أَكْحَالِكُمُ الْإِثْمِدُ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Sa'id ibn Jubayr — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The best of your garments is white — so wear white while you are alive, and use it as the shroud for your dead. And the best of your kohl is ithmid [antimony].'
