English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Nafi' ibn Jubayr — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A previously married woman [al-ayyim] has more right over herself than her guardian, and a virgin girl must be consulted regarding herself — and her silence is her consent.'
