حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي

مُلَيْكَةَ أَنَّ ابْنَ عَبَّاسٍ كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمُدَّعَى عَلَيْهِ أَوْلَى بِالْيَمِينِ

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ibn Abi Mulaykah — that Ibn 'Abbas wrote to him [stating that] the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The defendant [the one against whom a claim is made] is more entitled to take the oath [to deny the claim].'
