Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَ
نَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ أَنَّ عَوْسَجَةَ مَوْلَى ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أخْبَرَهُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مَاتَ وَلَمْ يَدَعْ أَحَدًا يَرِثُهُ فَرَفَعَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِيرَاثَهُ إِلَى مَوْلًى لَهُ أَعْتَقَهُ الْمَيِّتُ هُوَ الَّذِي لَهُ وَلَاؤُهُ وَالَّذِي أَعْتَقَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Awsajah, freed slave of Ibn 'Abbas — that a man died leaving no heir. the Prophet ﷺ transferred his inheritance to a freed slave of his — the one who had emancipated him — for it is that person who holds the [bond of] wala' [patronage] and who freed him.
