Chain of Narration (Isnad)

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ ابْنِ خُثَيْمٍ

عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ حِينَ أَرَادُوا دُخُولَ مَكَّةَ فِي عُمْرَتِهِ بَعْدَ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ إِنَّ قَوْمَكُمْ غَدًا سَيَرَوْنَكُمْ فَلْيَرَوْكُمْ جُلْدًا فَلَمَّا دَخَلُوا الْمَسْجِدَ اسْتَلَمُوا الرُّكْنَ ثُمَّ رَمَلُوا وَالنَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَعَهُمْ حَتَّى إِذَا بَلَغُوا إِلَى الرُّكْنِ الْيَمَانِي مَشَوْا إِلَى الرُّكْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ فَفَعَلَ ذَلِكَ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ مَشَى الْأَرْبَعَ

English Translation

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Ma'mar narrated to us, from Ibn Khuthaym, from Abu al-Tufayl, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Prophet ﷺ said to his Companions when they intended to enter Makkah during the 'Umrah of al-Qada': 'Your people will see you tomorrow, so let them see you strong.' When they entered and jogged between the corners, the polytheists said: 'These are not weakened by anything — they are like this and that!'
