English Translation

'Abd al-Razzaq and Khalaf ibn al-Walid narrated to us, they said: Isra'il narrated to us, from Simak, from 'Ikrimah, from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A man should not be alone with a woman, and no woman should travel except with a mahram (unmarriageable relative).' A man stood and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have been enrolled for such-and-such military expedition, and my wife has gone out for Hajj.' He ﷺ said: 'Go and perform Hajj with your wife.'
