English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Samad and Hasan, from Thabit, from Hilal, from 'Ikrimah — that he was asked — Hasan said: I asked 'Ikrimah about a fasting person performing cupping. He said: 'It is disliked only due to the weakness it causes.' Then he narrated from Ibn 'Abbas — Hasan said: then he narrated from Ibn 'Abbas — that the Prophet ﷺ had cupping performed while he was in a state of ihram, due to eating from a poisoned sheep that a woman from the people of Khaybar had poisoned. [This is the end of the hadiths of 'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما).]
