English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abdullah ibn Idris, who heard al-A'mash narrating from Shaqiq — that he said: ''Abdullah [ibn Mas'ud] used to come out to us and say: My being in your company is mentioned to me, but nothing prevents me from coming out to you more often except dislike for boring you. Indeed the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to choose the right times to give us admonition, out of dislike for boredom upon us.'
