English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Yahya, from Sufyan, from Sulayman, from Ibrahim, from 'Ubayda (and some of the narration is via 'Amr ibn Murra, from his father, from Abi al-Duha) — that 'Abdullah said: 'the Prophet ﷺ said: Recite to me. I said: Shall I recite to you when it was revealed to you? He said: I love to hear it from someone else. So I recited until when I reached: How then will it be when We bring from every nation a witness, and We bring you [O Muhammad] against these as a witness? [4:41] — he [Ibn Mas'ud] said: I saw his two eyes flowing with tears.'
