English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Abu Mu'awiya, from al-A'mash, from Shaqiq — that 'Abdullah said: 'It is as if I am looking at the Messenger of Allah ﷺ describing a prophet whose people struck him — and he is wiping the blood from his face and saying: O Lord, forgive my people — for they do not know.'
