English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Abu Mu'awiya and Ibn Numayr, from al-A'mash; and Yahya, from al-A'mash, from 'Umara, from al-Aswad — that 'Abdullah said: 'Let none of you give the shaitan a portion of himself by thinking it is obligatory on him to turn away [after prayer] only to his right. I have seen the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and his most frequent turning away was to his left.'
