English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Abu Mu'awiya, from al-A'mash, from 'Abdullah ibn Murra, from Masruq — that 'Abdullah said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: No soul is killed unjustly except that the first son of Adam [Cain/Qabil] bears a share of its blood — for he was the first to institute [the practice of] killing.'
