حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ ع
َبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُؤْتَى بِالسَّبْيِ فَيُعْطِي أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ جَمِيعًا كَرَاهِيَةَ أَنْ يُفَرِّقَ بَيْنهُمْ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Waki', from Sufyan, from Jabir, from al-Qasim ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from his father — that 'Abdullah said: 'When war captives [al-sabiy] were brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he would give them [to households] together — disliking to separate family members from one another.'
