Aswad ibn 'Amir narrated to us, Sharik informed us, from Abu Ishaq, from Silah, from 'Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud) رضي الله عنه that the messenger of Musaylimah came to the Prophet ﷺ. the Prophet ﷺ said to him: 'Do you bear witness that I am the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?' He said: 'I bear witness that Musaylimah is the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.' the Prophet ﷺ said: 'I believe in Allah and His messengers. Were it not that messengers are not killed, I would have struck your neck.'
