English Translation
'Abd al-Rahman ibn Mahdi narrated to us, from Sufyan, from 'Asim, from Abu Wa'il, from 'Abdullah (ibn Mas'ud) رضي الله عنه that the Prophet ﷺ said to a man (meaning the messenger of Musaylimah): 'Were it not that you are a messenger, I would have killed you.'
