حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ كَانَ عَبْ
دُ اللَّهِ يَرْمِي الْجَمْرَةَ مِنْ الْمَسِيلِ فَقُلْتُ أَمِنْ هَاهُنَا تَرْمِيهَا فَقَالَ مِنْ هَاهُنَا وَالَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُهُ رَمَاهَا الَّذِي أُنْزِلَتْ عَلَيْهِ سُورَةُ الْبَقَرَةِ

English Translation
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim who said: 'Abdullah used to throw the pebbles at the Jamrah from the valley floor. I said: O Abu 'Abd al-Rahman, people throw it from above it. He said: By the One besides Whom there is no deity, this is the standing place of the one upon whom Surah al-Baqarah was revealed ﷺ.'
