حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ خُصَيْفٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَصَفَّ صَفَّا خَلْفَهُ وَصَفٌّ مُوَازِي
الْعَدُوِّ قَالَ وَهُمْ فِي صَلَاةٍ كُلُّهُمْ قَالَ وَكَبَّرَ وَكَبَّرُوا جَمِيعًا فَصَلَّى بِالصَّفِّ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ رَكْعَةً وَصَفٌّ مُوَازِي الْعَدُوِّ قَالَ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ هَؤُلَاءِ وَجَاءَ هَؤُلَاءِ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ رَكْعَةً ثُمَّ قَامَ هَؤُلَاءِ الَّذِينَ صَلَّى بِهِمْ الرَّكْعَةَ الثَّانِيَةَ فَقَضَوْا مَكَانَهُمْ ثُمَّ ذَهَبَ هَؤُلَاءِ إِلَى مَصَافِّ هَؤُلَاءِ وَجَاءَ أُولَئِكَ فَقَضَوْا رَكْعَةً

English Translation
'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan narrated to us, from Khusayf, from Abu 'Ubaydah, from 'Abdullah who said: 'We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he lined up a row behind him and a row further behind, while the polytheists were between him and the qiblah. He then prayed, and we prayed with him. Then we shifted, so those in the back moved to the front and those in the front went to the back. He then prayed another rak'ah, and they prayed with him. Then he gave the taslim.' This was regarding the prayer of fear (salat al-khawf).
