English Translation

'Abd al-Razzaq narrated to us, Sufyan informed us, from Mansur, from Abu Wa'il, from Ibn Mas'ud رضي الله عنه who said: A man said to the Prophet ﷺ: 'Will one of us be held accountable for what he did in the Jahiliyyah (pre-Islamic ignorance)?' He said: 'Whoever does well in Islam will not be held accountable for what he did in the Jahiliyyah, and whoever does poorly in Islam will be held accountable for both the first and the last.'
