English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Umar ibn 'Ata' ibn Abi al-Khuwar — that Ibn 'Abbas said: 'While the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was eating a bone [with meat], the mu'adhdhin came. He set it down and rose to pray without touching water [i.e., without performing wudu].'
