English Translation
'Affan narrated to us, Mas'ud ibn Sa'd narrated to us, Khusayf narrated to us, from Abu 'Ubaydah, from his father who said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote regarding the zakah on cattle: 'When they reach thirty, a male or female tabi' (one-year-old calf) is due. When they reach forty, a musinnah (two-year-old cow) is due. And there is nothing between the waqs (minimum thresholds) — meaning nothing is due on what falls between the thresholds.'
