حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَبدِ الْمَلِكِ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنِ الْعُرْيَانِ بْنِ الْهَيْثَمِ عَنْ قَبِيصَةَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ الْأَسَدِيِّ قَالَ انْطَلَقْتُ مَعَ عَجُوزٍ مِنْ بَنِي أَس
َدٍ إِلَى ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَلْعَنُ الْمُتَنَمِّصَاتِ وَالْمُتَفَلِّجَاتِ وَالْمُوشِمَاتِ اللَّاتِي يُغَيِّرْنَ خَلْقَ اللَّهِ قَالَ يَحْيَى وَالْمُوسِمَاتِ اللَّاتِي

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Hisham ibn 'Abd al-Malik, from Abu 'Awana, and Yahya ibn Hammad, from Abu 'Awana, from 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Umayr, from al-'Uryan ibn al-Haytham, from Qabisa ibn Jabir al-Asadi — that he said: 'I went with an old woman from Banu Asad to Ibn Mas'ud. He said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ curse those women who pluck their eyebrows [al-mutanammissat], those who file their teeth for beautification [al-mutafallijat], and those who tattoo [al-muwashimat] — those who change the creation of Allah.' Yahya [adds]: 'and those who brand [al-musimat] — those who [change the creation of Allah].'
