English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Yahya ibn Adam, from Waki', from his father, from Abi Ishaq, from Ma'di Karib — that he said: 'We came to 'Abdullah and asked him to recite Ta-Sin-Mim of the two hundred [Surah al-Shu'ara', 26]. He said: I don't have it [well enough to recite], but go to the one who received it directly from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ — Khabbab ibn al-Aratt. So we went to Khabbab ibn al-Aratt and he recited it for us.'
