English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via Asbat, from Ash'ath, from Kurdus — that Ibn Mas'ud said: 'The chiefs of Quraysh passed by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while Khabbab, Suhayb, Bilal, and 'Ammar were with him. They said: O Muhammad, are you content with these? Then the Quran was revealed concerning them: "And warn by it those who fear that they will be gathered before their Lord..." up to "...and Allah is most knowing of the wrongdoers" [6:51-52].'
