حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ وَابْنُ بَكْرٍ قَالَا أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَي
ْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ بِتُّ لَيْلَةً عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي مُتَطَوِّعًا مِنْ اللَّيْلِ فَقَامَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَى الْقِرْبَةِ فَتَوَضَّأَ فَقَامَ يُصَلِّي فَقُمْتُ لَمَّا رَأَيْتُهُ صَنَعَ ذَلِكَ فَتَوَضَّأْتُ مِنْ الْقِرْبَةِ ثُمَّ قُمْتُ إِلَى شِقِّهِ الْأَيْسَرِ فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي مِنْ وَرَاءِ ظَهْرِي يَعْدِلُنِي كَذَلِكَ مِنْ وَرَاءِ ظَهْرِي إِلَى الشِّقِّ الْأَيْمَنِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Ata' — that Ibn 'Abbas said: 'I spent a night at my maternal aunt Maymunah's [home]. the Prophet ﷺ rose to perform voluntary night prayer. He went to the water-skin, performed wudu, and stood to pray. When I saw what he did, I performed wudu from the water-skin, then stood to his left side. He reached behind his back and took hold of my hand, adjusting me — in this way, from behind his back — to his right side.'
