حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ وَعَنْ كُرَيْبٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ
عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أَلَا أُحَدِّثُكُمْ عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي السَّفَرِ قَالَ قُلْنَا بَلَى قَالَ كَانَ إِذَا زَاغَتْ الشَّمْسُ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ جَمَعَ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرْكَبَ وَإِذَا لَمْ تَزِغْ لَهُ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ سَارَ حَتَّى إِذَا حَانَتْ الْعَصْرُ نَزَلَ فَجَمَعَ بَيْنَ الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ وَإِذَا حَانَتْ الْمَغْرِبُ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ جَمَعَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ الْعِشَاءِ وَإِذَا لَمْ تَحِنْ فِي مَنْزِلِهِ رَكِبَ حَتَّى إِذَا حَانَتْ الْعِشَاءُ نَزَلَ فَجَمَعَ بَيْنَهُمَا
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Ikrimah and Kurayb — that Ibn 'Abbas said: 'Shall I not tell you about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during travel?' They said: 'Yes indeed.' He said: 'When the sun had declined while he was still at his stopping place, he combined Dhuhr and 'Asr before mounting. If the sun had not declined while at his stopping place, he would travel until 'Asr time came, then he would stop and combine Dhuhr and 'Asr. And when Maghrib time came while at his stopping place, he combined it with 'Isha'. And if it did not come at his stopping place, he would mount and travel until 'Isha' time came, then stop and combine them both.'
