Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْكَرِيمِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ أَبُو جَهْلٍ لَئِنْ رَأَيْتُ مُحَمَّدًا
يُصَلِّي عِنْدَ الْكَعْبَةِ لَأَطَأَنَّ عَلَى عُنُقِهِ فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ لَوْ فَعَلَ لَأَخَذَتْهُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ عِيَانًا

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Karim, from 'Ikrimah — that Ibn 'Abbas said: 'Abu Jahl said: If I see Muhammad praying near the Ka'bah, I will tread on his neck. This reached the Prophet ﷺ and he said: If he had done that, the angels would have seized him right before everyone's eyes.'
