English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Abbas (رضي الله عنهما) — via Zakariyya ibn Ishaq, from 'Amr ibn Dinar, from 'Ikrimah — that Ibn 'Abbas used to say regarding the verse: 'And We did not make the vision We showed you except as a trial for the people [17:60]': 'This was something the Prophet ﷺ was shown while awake — he saw it with his own eyes when he was taken by night [isra'] to Bayt al-Maqdis [Jerusalem].'
