English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Shu'ba, from Abi Ishaq, from Abi 'Ubayda — that he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by me while I was praying and said: Ask and you will be given, O Ibn Umm 'Abd.' 'Umar said: Abu Bakr and I both rushed [to find out what supplication he had made], but Abu Bakr reached him before me. He never raced me to any good except that Abu Bakr reached it first. Then ['Abdullah] said: Among the supplications I rarely leave is: 'O Allah, I ask You for a bliss that does not fade, a joy of the eye that does not cease, and the companionship of the Prophet ﷺ Muhammad (ﷺ) in the highest level of Paradise — the Paradise of Eternity.'
