حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ وَسُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ الس
َّلْمَانِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ خَيْرُكُمْ قَرْنِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَخْلُفُ قَوْمٌ تَسْبِقُ شَهَادَاتُهُمْ أَيْمَانَهُمْ وَأَيْمَانُهُمْ شَهَادَاتِهِمْ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Shu'ba, from Mansur and Sulayman, from Ibrahim, from 'Abida al-Salmani — from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: 'The best of you is my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them. Then there will succeed a people whose testimony precedes their oath and whose oath precedes their testimony.'
