English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Rahman, from 'Abd al-Wahid ibn Ziyad, from al-Hasan ibn 'Ubaydillah, from Ibrahim ibn Suwayd, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid — that he said: 'When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered the evening he would say: Amsayna wa amsa al-mulku lillah, wa'l-hamdu lillah, la ilaha illa Allah wahdahu la sharika lah [We have entered the evening and all sovereignty belongs to Allah; all praise belongs to Allah; there is no god but Allah, alone, without partner].'
