English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Waki', from al-A'mash, from Abi Wa'il — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever swears a resolute oath [yamin sabr] to seize the property of a Muslim unjustly, while knowingly lying in that oath, will meet Allah (عز وجل) while He is angry with him.' And this verse was revealed: 'Indeed those who exchange the covenant of Allah and their oaths for a small price...' [3:77] to the end of the verse.
