حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَعَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ زُبَيْد

ٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ مِنَّا مَنْ ضَرَبَ الْخُدُودَ وَشَقَّ الْجُيُوبَ وَدَعَا بِدَعْوَى الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Waki'; and 'Abd al-Rahman, from Sufyan, from Zubayd, from Ibrahim, from Masruq — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'He is not of us who strikes the cheeks, tears the collar, and calls with the call of [the age of] ignorance [al-jahiliyya].'
