حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ قَالَ كَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ مِمَّا يُذَكِّرُ كُلَّ يَ
وْمِ الْخَمِيسِ فَقِيلَ لَهُ لَوَدِدْنَا أَنَّكَ ذَكَّرْتَنَا كُلَّ يَوْمٍ قَالَ إِنِّي أَكْرَهُ أَنْ أُمِلَّكُمْ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَتَخَوَّلُنَا بِالْمَوْعِظَةِ كَرَاهِيَةَ السَّآمَةِ عَلَيْنَا
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Jarir, from Mansur, from Abi Wa'il — that 'Abdullah used to give admonition every Thursday. It was said to him: 'We wish you would give us admonition every day.' He said: 'I dislike to weary you. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to attend to us with admonition at intervals, out of dislike for wearying us.'
