Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ
عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَرْنِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ تَسْبِقُ شَهَادَتُهُمْ أَيْمَانَهُمْ وَأَيْمَانُهُمْ شَهَادَتَهُمْ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Waki', from al-A'mash, from Ibrahim, from 'Abida — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The best of people is my generation, then those who follow them, then those who follow them. Then there will come a people whose testimony precedes their oaths and whose oaths precede their testimony.'
