English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Waki', from Sufyan, from Abi Ishaq, from Khumayr ibn Malik — that 'Abdullah said: 'I received seventy surahs directly from the mouth of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, while Zayd ibn Thabit still had braids in school [i.e., was still a child].'
